Popping up again!

Our next pop up venture at The Parlour is unfurling in a whirl of activity right now..and will open officially on Saturday 26th November. So come on down for a cuppa and some lovely making..all welcome!
There will be our delightful bird-making, fluttering back by popular demand.
Our new feature this time is badge making- tiny works of art that you can enjoy in a short space of time (if necessary!) and with all the scrumptious bits and bobs we provide you can come and lose yourself for as long as you like.
Prices start at a mere £5 including a cuppa, with real teapots of course!
There will also be special invited guest makers running daily feature workshops alongside the birds and badges so do watch this space for details coming up...

If you are searching for a handmade christmas gift then do pop in for a look at our selection by local makers..in these economic times it is really heartwarming to see artists working creatively and keeping it local. Ah!

For those who missed our last Pop Up Shop experience back in april, here is a short vimeo of the event. It has a very handmade quality as it's only my second attempt at filmmaking (yes ok it's photos but hey!). However it is a great insight into the workings of our creative event and the wonderful creativity of all those who came along.. so big thanks to you!

Next Workshop Date!

Our next workshop at the lovely light-filled Benjamin Perry Boathouse on Bristol's harbourside is sunday june 12th, 2.30-5.30pm. So hurry to book if you fancy making a Little House Doorstop! (see photo) It will make a delightful sunday afternoon with the usual abundance of scrumptious homemade cakes, expert tuition in sewing machine skills and all the materials that you will need. This could be for yourself or it would make a fantastic gift (lots of weddings this time of year!).  Complete workshop fee £25.

Welcome to Cuppa Cake & Make!

Welcome to our new blog. We had a wonderful week at The Parlour in the centre of Bristol, where many birds were created for our exhibition. They are now winging their way through the post to their new homes.

Many thanks to all those who came and got hands on in our very first Pop-Up Shop. We will be posting details of forthcoming events and workshops so watch this space..and bear with us while we adjust to the fine art of blogging!
